Paula Howard, co-founder and chief operating officer of Goff & Howard, helps set the overall direction for clients' media and government relations, communications and outreach activities.
Paula's nearly 20 years of experience in public relations and public affairs have made her an expert at balancing clients' long-range strategic planning with their day-to-day project management. She oversees the budget and quality of projects, making certain that our work continually reflects the goals and needs of our clients.
Under Paula's leadership, Goff & Howard has been named one of the Twin Cities' Best Places to Work by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal three times. The positive working environment that Paula has created at Goff & Howard inspires employees to do the best work possible for clients. Paula wrote about this secret to providing great service to clients in a 2008 column published in Upsize Minnesota.
Paula recently completed her sixth year on the Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and her fifth year on the Executive Committee. While volunteering on the board, she was active in membership campaigns, the 2008 Republican National Convention Task Force, and the Strategic Planning Task Force. Paula also chairs the Flyaways Gold Gymnastic Booster Club for the teams with which her children compete.

In addition to managing the daily operations at Goff & Howard, Paula is a member of our crisis communications team. In the event that a crisis strikes one of our clients, her top-notch leadership and coordination helps the client respond quickly and strategically. "When crises hit, our clients need an immediate and personalized response. Goff & Howard helps keep them grounded and focused on reaching the right stakeholders," said Paula.
Paula's professional accomplishments were recognized in 2005 when she was named to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's "Forty Under 40" list. This annual award honors 40 young business people for their professional accomplishments and community contributions. She was also named to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's 2002 "Women to Watch" list.
Paula graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in history and a minor in business. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking, hiking, snowmobiling, boating, spending time with her family and friends, and watching her three kids at their various activities.
